Douglas Yono is a devoted husband, father, and U.S. Army veteran who owns Insulation Commandos of North Houston. A Texas native and multi-sport athlete at Central High School, he enlisted after graduation and served as an Infantryman and TOW missile gunner, stationed at Fort Benning and deployed during Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. After earning a Bachelor of Science from Angelo State University, Douglas built a successful oil-and-gas career across Texas and Louisiana before taking on global assignments in Qatar, Kuwait, Nigeria, and Chad, and spending the next 17 years living and working in Dubai and Qatar—four of those years on oil rigs worldwide—before advancing into senior management.
He ultimately chose early retirement and returned with his family to The Woodlands, Texas, and he opened Insulation Commandos because it’s a veteran-owned brand known for strong operations and professionalism; Douglas and his team are proud to serve the greater North Houston area as the 26th location nationwide.
