My career has been shaped by service, discipline, and a commitment to protecting people and systems. I began my professional journey in February 2002, when I enlisted in the United States Air Force as an Active-Duty Weapons Load Crew Chief. During my seven years on active duty, I developed a deep technical understanding of aircraft weapons systems, honed my leadership abilities, and cultivated the work ethic that would guide the rest of my career.
After completing my active-duty service in September 2009, I transitioned into dual roles that allowed me to continue supporting military operations while broadening my technical expertise. I joined the Oklahoma Air Logistics Center as an Aircraft Egress Systems Mechanic, maintaining the critical life-support systems that ensure pilot safety. Just a few months later, I also began serving with the Oklahoma Air National Guard, where I continued my work as a Weapons Load Crew Chief and later expanded my responsibilities into occupational health and safety. These roles strengthened my attention to detail, reinforced the importance of compliance and risk mitigation, and deepened my commitment to safeguarding both personnel and mission readiness.
Driven to enhance my professional qualifications, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in May 2011, followed by a Master of Science in Occupational Safety Management in June 2018. These academic achievements helped formalize and expand the knowledge I had gained through years of hands-on experience.
In December 2016, I accepted a position with the Defense Logistics Agency as an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist, a role I continue to serve in today. In this capacity, I work to ensure safe working environments, minimize hazards, and support the health and well-being of the workforce. My years of military and technical experience have provided a strong foundation for excelling in this field.
Outside of my professional endeavors, I am an ordained minister, a husband, and a father of three children. My family, along with our two dogs, remains a steady source of support and motivation. I have always had a passion for home projects and hands-on work, and I have long aspired to operate my own business.
